Nice little spot and perfect for a couple of days in Twizel; Positive: Nice and compact and clean Negative: Bedrooms need their own heaters!

Positive: Clean Negative: We chose this property specifically because it offers a two-bedroom setup, as we wanted separate rooms to avoid disturbing each other during sleep. Unfortunately, this benefit was completely lost due to several issues. Firstly, the room (next to the bathroom) was extremely cold. The duvet provided was very thin, and there was no heating in the room. We contacted the management to request an extra blanket, but were told that all bedding is provided by the owner and there were no spare blankets available. We were also informed that no one had raised this issue before. My father’s room had the same problem with insufficient bedding. As it is winter, the rooms were simply too cold to sleep in comfortably. The only way we could manage was by keeping the bedroom doors open to let the heat from the living room in. This completely defeated the purpose of booking a two-bedroom property, as I was repeatedly woken up by my father’s snoring. Secondly, the WiFi speed was extremely slow — to the point where even basic use like scrolling short videos was not possible, and Netflix streaming was consistently blurry. Additionally, the bathroom sink drained very slowly. The basin would almost fill up before hot water even came through, making it impractical to use. Lastly, only body wash was provided in the bathroom, with no shampoo or conditioner available, which is below expectations for this type of accommodation. Given the relatively high price of this property, the overall experience represents very poor value for money. Basic comfort, heating, and essential amenities should be expected at this price point, especially during winter. Overall, this stay was disappointing and did not meet expectations in terms of comfort, functionality, or value.
